‘The Forge’ is our first project aimed at young adults. It was funded by Northamptonshire Community Foundation. We partnered with Lumina Arts and hosted the sessions at their new community space in Northampton. Working with the 3D printer, leather, resin-casting and sculpting with foam to create costume elements. These could be from any historical era, fantasy genre or existing characters from anime, film and TV.

 Photographer Jack Savage will document the process and take portraits of everyone with their finished work.

 

It is a mental health support project using creativity and peer support. This genre has strong appeal to the neuro-divergent community who often struggle with identity and isolation. This project aims to create a cohort who will support and celebrate each other.
